First of all this site has had a lot of great information on it so for that I say THANKS. I just bought a 2008 Titan SE, and wanted to see what you all thought about for my first upgrade. I was thinking a leveling kit and maybe some new tires and rims. Any suggestions??? I also wondered the compatability of accessories from 07 to 08. Thanks again.

In my experience thus far, they have made some changes between the '08 and '07 accessories. Particularly, the fog lamp stalk, radio bezel, etc. I was also told by the dealer that the step rails are different if you have a LWB. Not quite sure I believe them though as the dimensions of the cab didn't really change. I suppose the mounting points may have moved though.

i just bought an 08 SE KC as well, my first upgrade was a Banks exhaust. As a first time truck owner, let me say the sound of the banks on the Titan is worth more than the price of admission. My 2nd mod will be leveling kit.

Can I ask a dumb question? What is a leveling kit?

a leveling kit is a small lift [usually like 2"] to the front of a pickup truck to eliminate rake [rake is the overall angle of the truck from back-to-front]....most pickups are designed to be slightly lower in front so when you put a load in the back or tow something heavy, the truck will become level or not have negative rake....earlier titans had a lot of rake and therefore there are a lot of titan owners who have chosen to eliminate the rake by leveling it....i am pretty sure that we [ i also have an 08 ] have very little rake or at least less than the previous models...PRG [and maybe others] have produced a min-lift kit that rasies the front 2 to 2.5 inches in front and like 1 to 1.5 in the rear via billet 'blocks'...the overall affect is a slight lift that still uses only your stock suspension components and can be had for like $200-$300 and can [but not by someone with my skills] be done by oneself

forgive me if i wrote alot...i'd bet i coulda just posted some kind of link, but this is the 1st question that i felt like i could intelligently answer as i have just learned most of this stuff the last 2 months.....how did i do? was i paying attention or what

Pretty good, and it sure seems like you read before posting. Refreshing.

Stepbars are the same for all years unless you have a LWB... they have a 3rd mount. You can use the older versions only using two if that is your decision.

Wheels, Tires, Lift/Drop, stereo, we got tons.... Step right up and ride the ferris wheel.
