Twelve years ago yesterday I bought my 2004 Titan. I just went outdoors to check my mileage that reads 43,849. I believe it ought to last me another 12 years.

That's rare, low mileage 04's can't be beat. My 04 mileage not so low. That T of your's should last a long time.

Any major repairs?
At just over 10K miles, I had a rear axle seal leak repaired under warranty. I replaced both rear seals when at 17K miles I had a Tru-Trac installed.

As a preemptive measure I removed a perfectly functioning radiator and replaced it with an Stillen/CSF3328 aluminum radiator. After a little more than three years, the radiator developed a pinhole leak so I replaced the Stillen/CSF3328 radiator with a second one. Bummer! About 14 months later the second all-aluminum radiator is still holding up, knock on wood.

190,000 miles with a lot of that, perhaps 40,000, towing. A cheap $200 radiator and 4 axle seals. Engine is starting to run warmer than normal in the summer now. Might be related to that radiator since I've checked or unnecessarily replaced other cooling parts.

edit; Picking up some undercarriage squeaks now. May be related to the road salt and sand used during upstate NY winters.

Sold my '04 CCLE two years ago, after buying a new Tundra CrewMax.

I haven't posted here in years, but lurk every few weeks waiting to see the Titan story begin all over again.

TitanTalk was a true salvation that first year or two, when neither the dealers nor Nissan knew anything much about our trucks.

Fortunately, I got a good Titan - others weren't so lucky.

The guy that bought mine had an exhaust manifold crack recently. That was the one design flaw I never had to deal with.

In the end, I grew tired of the constant vigilance the Titan required.

Thought I'd try some Toyota QDR - quality, durability, reliability.

Here's both, the last time I detailed the Titan:

This is cool, my KC turned 12 in Feb, just passed 56K, and this week the flange at the exhaust pipe let go, first thing to go wrong, since the brakes way back when. Good to see still a bunch of '04s still with the original owners.

Fix that exhaust immediately to avoid melted wires on the frame. Even my newer, '07 style, exhaust did the same thing again.

Good choice on the Toyota, I'm still open to the idea of owning a Tundra. Some guys I know that owned Titan's have gone the Tundra route. The fact I see a lot of these in the middle east driven through those extremely hot conditions is a bit of an eye opener.

We have about 117,000 on ours purchase new. I thought we had low miles but less than 50K is ridiculously low. Great truck.

Damn! I guess you don't like driving your T that much. Either that or you're gonna sell somebody a very very nice truck. I own a 2010 CC. Bought it with sixty thousand miles on it. Now it has ninety thousand and runs like new . I've only put gas and oil in it. Oh! and a couple of go fast goodies

Good to hear about the high mileages. I bought my 2011 used 1 1/2 years ago with 43k. I'm now at 73k and hope to put many more on it. I came (with few complaints) from the dark side of Toyota. I drovem like I stolem, and they always ran strong. My buddy put over 300k on a 2006 or 2007 Titan .

I have one of the oldest trucks on the Forum, built 11-11-2003. When I registered it, the clerk said, "Now WHAT is it again?" Then she told me that my registration for the truck was record #1 in the system for that vehicle, making it the first one sold in the county.

Just under 100,000 on it now; at least 2/3 of that is towing miles. The low miles are because in 2008 when gas got so crazy expensive, it was cheaper to park it and buy a Sentra for daily use. The Sentra has way more than paid for itself since. But I won't throw fence stuff into the Sentra and go crawling down in the lower meadow to fix fence.

Is the the best truck I've ever owned? Not quite. But it's been the most fun of all of them to drive. Service from it has been steady and reliable.

196,000 on my 2004 4x4 with Big Tow and off road. Fun to drive...yes. Reliable...meh...I have a repair list that's too long to list here.

It's starting to rust now. The front end is making all sorts of rattling noises and the manifolds are cracked. I'll keep driving it as is until it dies. Don't want to stick anymore money into it except for brakes and tires.
