I would like to put 16 inch wheels on my titan, Is there anyone who has done this? Will they fit over the brakes? I have some 16 inch tires from my old truck and would like to reuse them. I dont have the off road package. there are 18s on there now.
Thanks:hat:

I don't think you can go smaller than 17". Are the wheels you have the same lug pattern as the titans?
There is a member that was running 16" alloy wheels. You have to grind on the front caliper bracket to get enough clearance. They will clear on the rear with no modifications.
Yeah, someone had 16's, but if I recall, it was a major PITA to do it. I had to grind my caliper brackets, and I have 17" wheels!

I've got 17" inch wheels and I didn't have to do any grinding.

Correct, I'd say 95% of the 17's will fit w/o any problems. I just had to take the grinder back and forth across the outside edge of the caliper bracket a few times so that it would clear. It's not so much the diameter of the wheel that is the problem in this case, but how the 'web' is constructed. For example, on my 1079's, the weren't clearing in this area, approximately:

It took some looking but I believe this is the thread 54 was talking about. 54 I also had to do the same with the 1079's

My thread was about installing 16'' wheels on the rear for when i go to the track. What me and 54 are refering to is a member had a 4X4 with 16's on the front and rear and drove it daily.

I found this thread over on CT.

I must have missed part were u mentioned about just runs at the track. Would that cause any computer issues with 17 or 18 up front and 16 for the rear?

No problem. No, it will not mess with the ECU, but it does make the speedo read fast, about 15mph fast.
