Got a look...like the interior and overall size of the truck. A 1600 lb payload is disappointing.

that looks nice.

that is a disappointing payload for sure.
My dad has a Platinum at his local dealer. Said he poked around and the inside was nice. With it being all one color I think it helps alleviate some of the ugliness...

Looks nice, looks like the 2wd sits that same height as the 4wd.

Hmm, looks like Wyler in Fairfield? I recognize it from the stone wall and fence looks like there website is showing one too.
Haha yeah I think so. Parents live in West Chester.

I still cant believe that went with a smaller rear window and didn't keep close to what we already had.
I'm puzzeled by the small back window too. I've seen one in person and I think they are sharp and much better looking than the two toned pictures that were floating around. the single color is the way to go.
Yep, two tone looks more like a Dodge, not my taste at all.
If you could lop off the front end of that truck and graft on the original body style front end that would be a pretty nice looking truck. From the doors back it looks nice; the front of the truck is an abomination. The inside better be nice to make you forget you're driving something so hideous... As for the new truck, my dealership still doesn't have one.
I agree payload is a huge disappointment. I just checked out a Platinum XD 4x4 with a 1355 lbs. payload. Astonishing to see on a 7k plus lbs. Diesel priced at 61K with such a small payload. This IMO is a crushing blow to what appears to be a great vehicle in every other aspect. My Armada has 300 lbs. of more payload. At 61k for the Platinum there are many better options for a far more robust and capable tow vehicle. I was truly considering this as my next truck but with those numbers it’s not even being considered and I’m a Nissan fan. Good luck trying to win over a non-biased buyer looking strictly at capacities and numbers.

That's what i have noticed to be a good growing change throughout the Truck scene, making it harder for brands to slack off. Nissan already shows a willingness to change and adapt, so hopefully the next model year will see changes in response to the biggest problems we have with it, problems that can be addressed in time for the 2nd model year.
Complaining about payload. This is an "in between 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton" truck. Half ton = 1000 pounds, 3/4 ton = 1500 pounds.

How many of us have put 2000 pounds or more (raises hand) in the back of our Titans? While I don't imagine doing that every day, I didn't have a problem with it other than driving slower than normal. I'm betting you can easily get 2500 in the back of this thing and unless you're also pulling a 10,000 pound trailer you'll be just fine.
Agree with lax on that one. I know I've personally had 2600 and some change in my bed before. Was squatting sure but couldn't tell it was back there till came stopping time. Just did it a lot sooner. And mine is an 04. With the frame and suspension on it I'm sure it can take some severe weight. Need to let a real world person, someone on here, take one out and test it.

1000 for a ½ ton and 1500 for a ¾ ton….huh?? If you’re going to post numbers at least make them accurate. For a comparison I used Ford numbers. The payload numbers below are directly from the Ford Website. As an example the F-150 payload ranges from 1590 as the lowest to 3200 with the HD Payload Package.
F-250 Payload ranges from 2900 to 4040.
1355 for a loaded Platinum XD is laughable not a complaint. To get to 2000 lbs. you have to buy a stripped down 2x4. At 1355 a Honda Ridgeline has a higher payload. The average 6-7k lbs. travel trailer is going to have close to or over 1000 lbs. of tongue weight. My 6300 lbs. travel trailer has a tongue weight just over 900 lbs. This leaves 355 lbs. which is not even enough for the average family. This is the lowest payload in its class on a truck that weighs almost 2k more than last years Titan and other half tons. 12k towing capacity means nothing when it carries such a low payload number. This is a lower payload than first generation Titan/Armada’s. It is very telling that Nissan does not even post payload numbers for the new Titan on their site. This will be a show stopper for people who really want to use this truck for towing or hauling. For many like yourself it will make no difference but for the informed buyer looking to use the truck for its intended purpose it falls very short in capacity.

A half ton isn't 1000 pounds? I've got some investment opportunities I can guarantee you'll get rich on...

All I was getting at was that there are a lot of numbers dictating what we can and can't do with our trucks. Many of us have ignored those numbers and did what we were going to do anyway. I see no reason why others won't do that with the XD.

I for one am praying the Warrior becomes an actuality.
Theres a all black pro4x at my dealer. I saw it Wednesday when I went to get my first oil change on my 15. It does look better all one color, but I like mine better and it was almost $25k more than I paid for my truck.
Also, it sounds as though the tires that come on these trucks are not rated for the payload that they are rated for which not only diminishes the payload due to the weak link of the tire rating but also makes the uniformed buyer/driver a dangerous/hazard while towing or carrying excess payload.

These softer tires are likely what is helping the truck have such a "great ride" "like a half ton". It's a total misrepresentation and marketing ploy to sell an overall disappointing truck.

The Titan I saw had LT load range E tires on it. That should be good enough for any 3500 / 350 series truck. Load range D would probably be more appropriate. Also, the half ton three-quarter ton and one ton moniker is obviously very obsolete. I am one of the ones who use my truck for more than personal transportation. I carry tools in mind during the week and occasionally lumber on the lumber rack. I also have a toy hauler that weighs 7000 pounds loaded and probably has an excess of 800 pounds tongue weight. My 2012 Titan pro-4x King Cab with most options has a payload of 1800 and fifty pounds which is just fine for what I use it for. If I ever have an accident, my insurance will not be able to walk away from me due to being overloaded legally. Personally I think the hardware is there, under the new Titan XD, to raise the payload rating. Until that happens, I have no interest in one. It should have a payload range of 2000 to 2400 pounds.
From what I've seen around the interweb, it's mostly Nissan fanboys that are buying this truck. They bought it to be the next big thing but they have no idea of what they're actually getting themselves into. If you have to go on a forum and ask how to fill DEF fluid, or what a regen is, you didn't research your purchase, at all. Which brings us back to the payload. Most people see the commercials and the hype and equate the XD to an HD. They totally overlook payload, and why wouldn't they? It has a factory installed gooseneck hitch. I have a feeling the used truck market is going to be flooded with these things after people figure out that diesel maintenance just isn't for them, and when people realize that it's just not going to do the job for them safely or legally. Of course, we've all pulled and hauled things that are over our trucks stated capacities, but I don't know many special people that would buy a vehicle and purposely overload it.
