1 - what fuel should I run if I do it?

2 - will it increase gas mileage?

BTW, why can I not search? Every time I try I get a permission denied or something.

2) Probably not, although some say it does!

1. I've just been running 87 with no problems

2. My gas mileage has decreased, and I DON'T blame it on a change in driving habits since the advance, because, my driving habits haven't changed, only the timing.

3. Not sure why you can't search.

yeah i have a question about that if my pos batt cable gets pulled will i lose my advance and i cant tell the difference if it was done or not i hope it was i paid 85 dollars for it

No, you won't lose it when you disconnect the cable.

I still run 87, no worries. I do run higher octane when I'm towing, but that's the only time. Personally, I think I lost mileage with this mod. Not enough to bother me.

As for losing it when the battery is unplugged. No. It won't happen. It's there until you reset your ECU.

I don't think the do it yourself "ECU Reset" will erase the Advance. I may be wrong, but I recall people doing the reset, and maintaining the Advance.
