Hello. I posted this in the towing section also but figured it couldn't hurt to ask here. I bought a 2017 from the dealer. There is a plug on the rear that runs straight up to the battery with an in-line fuse. Does it have a purpose? I shouldn't make assumptions but it's a 1 owner truck with 15k miles so I can't imagine it is an aftermarket add on. Thank you.

I bet it's for an auxiliary backup light set up.

Found my answer. Would be connected to a trailer with a battery on it that runs a winch or other auxiliary. Truck system would charge trailer system
