Hey Guys,

I got the 2* timing advance done on my 08 TITAN today with success. If anyone is interested in doing it make sure your dealer has the CONSULT 3. (As far as I know the 08 cannot be done with the CONSULT 2). Here are the directions for your dealer.....

After consult3 has connected to car :
1. Press Wrench sign upper Right side of screen.
2. Press ECM/Wrench sign just below Large Wrench sign
3. Press Engine / OK
4. Work Support
5. Engine timing at bottom of list
6. Fallow prompts to +2
!!!!!! make sure they actual hit the UP-DATE BUTTON !!!!!!
or it will not save..
Make sure engine is at normal operating temp. & also good to reset
Idle air volume relearn to @ 650 rpm with a/c off & steering wheel straight..

By the way, the advance is awesome!

Hope this helps the 08' owners out there......

please let us 08 owners know if there is any improvement
Oh yah man. Definately an improvement. I notice it a lot in the lower end. 1st gear packs more of a punch:cheers:

It may just be my imagination but it seems like the AEM Brute Force is louder now.

Nice. I still need to make time to head out to my dealership. Either that or wait till I head down south and have Taz do the advance for me.
If "Taz" doesn't work at a dealership, or own a Consult III, you will not be able to do this......

Good luck. Some dealers wont do it. I'd call them first if I were you. I ended up having to drive 150 miles to get mine done. Totaly worth it though.

I've heard some say they have got 2+ mpg after doing this. I guess it might be the ticket for some of those guys with the sub par mileage on the truck. AS IN ME!!! 12 MPG!
