So I posted a thread a while ago after my Nissan dealer told me I needed new front and rear diffs for $7k the truck has been sitting for months. My neighbor got tired of looking at it and he works service at mitsubishi it was towed there and apparently "only" needs a new rear diff. said problem is he cant find one with the locker but can find me a used rear diff installed for $2700.

Can i rebuild the inner workings of my rear diff? I believe ive read you can. Buy a locker, new seals, ring and pinion new axel seals etc etc etc......

Truck has 144k miles 2004 in good shape 35s 6" lift borla exhaust I do like it and miss it so I would like to get it fixed but I did buy another truck so selling this as is might be an option, what should i do???

Yes. I paid around 1k for mine about 10 years ago and haven't looked back since.
