2004 Titan front diff leaking around half shaft

I have a 2004 Titan xe with about 138,000 miles. I noticed it was leaking yesterday and I’ve owned many 4x4’s and never seen this happen. I’ve read about the famous pop out of the axle shafts on the front diff, but haven’t found any pictures to see if they are the same or not. How will I go about pushing this back in? Do I just need to jack it up, remove tire, take cv axle off and hit it with a hammer? Any info or wisdom is greatly appreciated.
