The heads are goinb back on my titan with the engine in the truck. Question is proper way to install the cover. The cover has to slide over an O ring, . The two mounting studs make it necessary to slide the cover across the large O ring on the front of the upper oil pan, which may damage or dislodge the O ring. It appears that this problem would be prevented by removing the two mounting studs because it looks like the cover would then have enough "slack" to sit down on the O ring, then the studs would be reinserted. Does this sound logical?
Yeah, in retrospect, we should have removed the engine before removing the heads. Still, the same problem would have existed, only easier to access everything.
