First post, long time lurker. Just ordered some new tires for my 2006 CC Titan (285 70R17), figured its beyond time to replace the stock struts so might as well do it all at once. I was originally going to just order the Bilstein 5100s and put them on the middle setting to achieve a little front end lift and call it a day. After reading through some of the posts (of which there are many!), I am also considering ordering 08 moog 4x4 coil spring along with the 5100s and keeping the 5100s on the lowest setting achieving some lift with the longer/stiffer coil spring.

Is there any advantage to one over the other? I am not mechanically experienced or knowledgeable, I just want the best performing system that will give me a little front-end lift.

Thanks!

Both options will result in a stiffer ride than OEM. I think if you're willing to get the springs going that route and having the Bilstein on bottom setting would be best, but I haven't changed out my springs. I have my Bilsteins on the middle setting and could tell a difference from when they were on the lowest setting.

I just installed the 08 4wd coils on my 06 king cab and got just a tad over 3" of lift. Crewcab would get less lift I think. I'm just a tad high (1/2") in the front compared to the rear.
The ride is stiffer, but feels like a truck (same as factory 4wd chevy with torsion bars), not overly harsh at all. I'm still on factory struts, probably original from 06.

It is a simple job to swap the coils. especially if you are changing struts already. just rent some strut spring compressors from any box auto store, and put the coils on your new struts. remove the old strut assembly and install new ones (which involves loosening upper arm from the spindle). get alignment, done.
