I switched over my 2005 T to the following:

I installed them in May, 2016 and haven't had any issues with them. I chose to go with the 8K version of them because I like the bright white when I driving. On mine, I didn't need anything other than what came with the order. I would recommend that if you're going to do it, to do both high and low beams at the same time. Basically, you'd have to do the same work twice and it was much easier to place the ballasts in the same location (just under the light assembly) and wire time them both down. I did place Velcro between them to been the metal ballast bodies from hitting each other.
I also opted to change out my fogs, too, to the Opt7 fog lights. No issues there either. They came out with new models of these that crank out more lumens and the design "they say" is more efficient. I can't tell how much is just marketing vs reality.
