I have the dreaded SES P0430 code that says Bank 2 is kaput. So I have the option of the local muffler place doing a after market header/cat for $900 a side or trying to find someone who will be okay installed headers. It seems Stillen no longer makes headers for the 2006's on their website when I select 2006 the products are not Stillen for headers, JBA and something else. FYI I live in Indiana no emissions or inspection done here.

Question is it worth it to do the straight header only option? is it legal if I work in another state to drive it there? Is the after market header/cat a safer option? I have a Borla dual exhaust and Injen CAI/

Cajun Stage 1 package is what you need. JBA longtubes, catted Cajun bpipes and Uprev tuning all in one package so items will not have to be sourced out. Tuning is needed with headers but you still come out cheaper than failure proned manifolds. 50 RWHP gain and the best MPG possible. 2000 kits sold the last 4.5 years with excellent reviews. Feel free to call me with any questions, number is on the website. Cajun Bpipes | shreveport, LA 71129

At the risk of sounding dumb, I still don't know what "tuning" is and how it works. It sounds like some kind of computer program that lets you ditch the converters that are attached to the factory cats, as best as I can tell. Is it forever? Does it come on a CD? What happens if your battery goes dead - is the program gone?

I have asked this question before, I believe, without any resolution. Also, I am curious as to how headers are in terms of volume versus factory manifolds. I don't like noise.

Headers are louder, but that is due mostly to the elimination of a pair of catalytic converters. I have a stock exhaust (cat-back), JBA headers and custom b-pipes with two catalytic converters in each. My Titan is as quiet as can be.

Tuning requires a laptop on your part along with a special cable connected to your ODBII port. The cost of the custom tune is included in the cost of the cable. You run your laptop and it monitors your truck while you do multiple 0-60 mph runs. Send in the logs to the tuner and he emails back a custom tune you load with your laptop.
