Just FYI, my '05 KC 4x2 SE with 160K miles seems to be valued at around $7K +/-. I realize yours is 2 years newer, a crew cab, LE instead of SE, ~60K fewer miles and 4x4, but are you sure about the $19K?

When it comes time to sell mine, I'm hoping you're right ... I like your price range better than mine!

Edit: Could be a difference in NH's economy vs here in FL too.

kkb is about 15 on the truck itself. plus 15k in goodies, parts etc, i think 19 is pretty close. you always want to start high anyway, right? :)

I bought my 2010 SE 4x4 with 6" lift, 35's on aftermarket wheels for $18.5k 3 years ago. Not trying to knock you but $19k is crazy. The bank doesn't care how many parts you put on the truck, that doesn't add value. You'll come out on top parting it out and selling it stock. Either way, good luck with sell

Does anyone not realize how much a plow costs?

Unless someone is paying cash for it then it doesn't matter how much the plow cost. The bank is going to finance based on the nada value of the vehicle itself. Like I said earlier, sell the plow seperate. You'll have an easier time selling it like that.

No relevant, just curious. What do plows usually run for this application?
I wouldn't really know since I live in FL and have never bought one, but I know new and used tractor implements fairly well, so I'm gonna try to guess real quick before the real answer comes along:

Split, adjustable hydraulic plow new, with upgraded front suspension and full installation: $9K-$10K

Split, adjustable hydraulic plow used but in good condition, asking price: $7K-$8K

Split, adjustable hydraulic plow used but in good condition, price paid by actual person with cash: $4K

Split, adjustable hydraulic plow used but in good condition installed on used truck being sold: $250-$1K

As a stand alone item for purchase(?), or are you saying your truck buyer will add $3K to the purchase price of the truck to get the plow too?

I'm not arguing. I just had the opportunity all over the outskirts of Detroit last winter and saw a bunch of trucks with plows, so I'm curious is all. Curious what the plows cost. Curious how much guys get paid to use theirs. Curious as to who hires them, property owners, municipalities, or both.

3k used value. new they're around 5.5k. my price of 19k includes everything i have for the truck, including the plow. and i'm not firm on 19, that's just where i started. always leave yourself some wiggle room.

The banks have a certain range that they'll loan for a given vehicle, and it's fairly wide. All they have to go on is book value, and with good credit, they won't hesitate to give someone the money they need. For all they know it could be a huge POS anyway. The length of the loan is where you'll be more limited. Besides that, most people with good credit would be able swing a couple grand cash anyway.

I'm sorry I'm not interested, because the truck is very nice looking.

thanks lubie. i've taken very good care of her over the years, babied her. i'm selling because it's just time for something new. i've had this truck almost 11 years now, i've got the new truck itch. the new one isn't a titan, or a nissan, sorry. i just can't get past the looks of the new model. not my flavor. the new truck is a 2017 ram 1500 sport, all black.

This will likely have to be a cash sale or the person will need great credit to get an unsecured personal loan. Most banks/credit unions limit loans on used cars to 6 or 7 years old. Auto loans from a bank for a 10 year old vehicle does not exist.

Now, antique or custom, you can do J.J. Best Banc or something like that because of the value.

Just saying... :dunno: good luck with it! Don't see many Titans with a plow!
