I have ngk ir dilfr5a11d original in engine. Wow!!!:eek_surprise: these are expensive! $18 each!
Can i use a less expensive plug without effecting performance?
Any suggestions on a replacement?
Thanks

Flex truck? If it is get the regular non flex plugs. Truck will run just fine if you use regular gas

Stick with OEM plugs, they last 100k miles, cheaper ones have been known not to work right.

Do u mean flex fuel truck? No, mine isnt. I run it on reg gas
You got me digging now...

So the difference between yhe factory plugs, dilfr5a11d and lfr5a11d is around $11 each. They are both iridium plugs and work just fine. I have run both. For longevity suck it up and make the buy once cry once purchase get the dilfr5a11d like fishing alaska said...if you do maintenence well be fore the scheduled interval, the cheaper option is fine.

See this link for visual difference

I bought the same plugs that came OEM and I don't think I paid over $10 each. As I recall the exact part number for the '07 had changed slightly, replaced by another part number. I got whatever NGK said to get.
