(2018 Update below)

Our Titan is our 4th car. It gets used to pull our toy hauler, and take us to and from dirt biking/camping. If it's not doing that, it's moving furniture, going to the dump, etc. After almost 9 years of neglect, I finally decided to spend sometime on the old girl.

Aside from where the clear coat is failing (roof and hood mostly), the old girl cleaned up real nice. I dont have a lot of before pictures because I couldn't look at her without barfing.

2 bucket wash with CG Citrus wash
Clay with ONR lube
Polish with Wolfang Swirl Remover 3.0 and many many orange pads on both a PC 7424 and Griots Garage 6" orbital
Waterless wash with Meguiars D115
Griots garage spray wax

I have wolfgang nano coat sealant coming in the mail. Paint prep is done, will seal it in the next week or two.

Damn good looking truck! Congrats man, how long did it take you to do it?

I actually just washed both my 05 and 08 today with my girlfriends help. Inside and out. But we just did a normal wash, then Rain-X windows, wheel cleaner, tire shine, and vacuum/wipe down the interior. Both trucks took about 2.5 hours with both of us doing it.

About 12 hours over 4 days.

I stopped waxing after the roof flaked off

Yep- once the clear coat begins peeling, there's nothing else to do. I had my roof repainted last year and waited to reapply sealant until after six months. Looks great- but now the A-pillars and hood are a concern from sun fading. I'll try to wash, clay and reapply Blackfire while they're still in relatively good shape.

I thought about repainting the roof, but I just assumed the hood would go the next year.

I can't believe its been two years already! But now my 11 year old titan got a good detail once again! Got the fenders, bumpers, hood and roof painted over the summer and it was time to reapply a new coating. The match on the paint is not great, but it's a good quality job so what can you do.

1) Wash with Carpro reset
2) clay
3) polish with m205 on orange pads (again!)
4) Carpro eraser wipedown
5) Carpro Cquartz UK 3.0 coating
6) Carpro reload
