Last night when I parked my truck and turned it off, I was not able to move the ignition to the lock position and my key is stuck. I am able to crank the truck, run through all gears, and drive it, but the ignition will not move to lock or allow me to remove the key. I removed the upper and lower steering column covers and activated the manual release (I can see it working), but still won't allow me to move the ignition to lock or remove the key. I really thought that was more for not being able to shift out of park, but I tried it anyway. My battery is definitely good. I read somewhere there is a toggle switch type release somewhere on the ignition itself underneath but I cannot seem to find it. Any ideas? If I cannot get this fixed, I will have no choice but to leave my key in the ignition for now while I drive it.

Maybe Park not entirely engaged.
Try this on a slight grade; put gear selector in Park, ease up on brake until you hear the park pawl engage then try removing key.
If you've already tried this then disregard.

I read this thread. That's where I read about the manual release switch underneath on the ignition that I can't find. The link in the comment is no longer working.
