Revisiting the left sided trailer lights not working. All are intact. Now to swap left and right relays to see if the problems swap sides. However I don't know how to pull out these relays. Is there a locking mechanism?

Yes. Figured it out. They are tough to get out. My problem was a bad wire at the plug
