[2010 bigdog]

I have a 2010 nissan titan with about 450000 miles and now when i turn on my heat it makes a hissing/water sound going thru a tube sound and not sure what it could be ? its only when the blower is on and it comes and goes so not a constant sound. can't figure it out and its only when the fan is on.

i did not check that but i will! thanks for the quick response! that could make that noise if I'm low?

i topped it off with some coolant(very little because it was just about to the max level) and it still does it. Anymore suggestions?

is the noise present when you set it to A/C? Does the sound change at different blower speeds?


maybe something like a leaf in the blower fan.

I've read the brake booster being bad causes a hissing noise. Just an idea...

it does do it when its set to A/C also. Its coming from under the glove box area if that helps?

is the floor wet under it? anything feel damp? is the drain clogged? are the cabin filters clogged?
is the trap door for the cabin filter broken and leaking air?

i know my A/C condenser needs replaced so could that be it?

To me it sound like something in your Fan blower assembly. You can drop your glove box and remove the 2 cabin filters and see they are dirty or damaged or even there.. I would then take a look at the blower fan. see if anything got in there.

There are bolt in items, you can remove quickly to help troubleshoot. I know when my condenser went bad I had no noise. just no cold air.
