Hello all. In the winter, I noticed one day that in defrost mode, I heard a steady (not pulsing) hiss coming from the dash area. I've been meaning to look into it but I also noticed a sound coming from the engine bay that went away when the defrost was turned off. Flash forward to today...I haven't had time to look into this and now I turn on the AC. Same noises but now no cold air! Am I correct to think this is a Freon leak and that I have exhausted my supply and now the AC is dead too?

I've searched several posts and they reference "known issues" but don't say what they are. Any tips? If I can fix it without going to the dealer I'd like to give it a shot.
