Is it possible to customize any aspects of the VDC system with a custom tune?

It always seems to strike at the worst possible moment: (ie: When I am trying to pull out into traffic and ever-so-slightly run over the curb with my rear wheel and then lose all power for what feels like forever.)

I always try to remember to turn it off before doing something that could end up setting it off when I don't want it, but invariably I forget and it comes back to bite me every so often.

If the duration of it's power-robbing can't be customized, would it be feasible to invert the dash light behavior with regard to VDC? I know the indicator specifically says "VDC OFF", but I could easily make the mental association in my mind that it's telling me to TURN the VDC Off. Honestly, I would probably love that change. The illuminated LED would annoy the crap out of me, so I'd always remember to shut it off, and for the rare occasion that I did actually want VDC to be on, I would have a visual indicator letting me know that it was.

It would be better to just learn how to drive your vehicle correctly.

Actually, that is the problem. If you know how to drive a vehicle properly, you don't need the system.

I usually try to remember to turn it off, but when you forget, it always catches you out at the worst possible time, like trying to turn left on a busy road. ::crying::

Press the brake slightly, just enough to turn on the tail lights but not enough to really make the brakes work. Then hit the gas hard. That should disable the ABLS which is what keeps the wheels from slipping when going forward. That's the only way I know to get around it. The burnout mod kind of works in the opposite direction in that it hides that the brakes are being pressed from the ECU so it doesn't retard the engine.
