2013 Pro-x metallic rattling sound

Hello!

First post here, I just bought a 2013 Pro-4x. Up near the air intake (front left) I hear a metallic rattling/shuddering noise when accelerating quickly.

The air intake might be the problem, it's a aftermarket injen power box intake that the previous owner did not tighten down and let rub against metal. I was able to pull it apart without any force and it is being held up by two foam pads currently.

I tightened everything down but the truck still makes this loud metallic rattling noise when accelerating quickly.

I plan on replacing the vibration mount on the intake and taking it back to the dealership for diagnostic.

Any advice? I think i'll make a video to explain better.

So it's during acceleration and deceleration at lower speeds? Are you running wheel spacers?
I have the same issue but with a air aid cai. Sucks

Really? I don't think my intake is touching or moving anymore, i can't figure out wtf is making this noise.

This seems to be the exact issue we are having.

I don't think the intake box will do any damage but towing is going to be annoying.
Oh yes....its super annoying haha. For me its at a certain RPM under load, so with a trailer its pretty bad.

To me, it seems like the hood latch rattling around. The cable for the hood goes right next to the air intake. I put a piece of foam over the cable between the intake and the sound got a lot less dramatic.

I'm replacing the vibramount used on my intake too.

I was thinking its the heat shield for the exhaust? Mine use to rattle before i bent it but sometime i still hear it
I have an aftermarket exhaust, it is definitely resonance from the air intake. I replaced the vibramount and added foam so the sound is almost gone, but still present at certain RPMs.

I think I want to replace the air intake or add some dynomat
I just ordered an Airaid MXP, hopefully no more noise else im buying a ton of dynamat.
