2015 Door Panel Removal

Here is the procedure I used for removing the 2015 Door Panels:

1. Remove the cover from behind the door handle. The first cover gave me a little bit of hassle. You’ll need a small blade flat screwdriver to fit into the slot.

2. Remove the bolt from behind the door handle. 10mm socket.

3. Remove the rubber insert from the cubby in the armrest. This can be a little tricky too, use a strip of thin cardboard or plastic to get under it and lift it enough to remove it.

4. Remove the bolt from the armrest cubby. 10mm socket.

5. Pull the switch panel up. It has clips along the inside and outside edges. Be careful with this panel as it seems that it can easily bend or break in a couple of places. Take your time wiggling the panel while pulling it up and it should release. A flat screwdriver may help to release some of the clips.

6. Unplug the harnesses from the switch panel.

7. Remove the two screws from behind the switch panel. 10mm socket, a 12” extension makes this easier.

8. Pull the door panel from the door. I typically begin at the bottom, once a couple of the clips have released it pulls away easily. After all the clips have released lift the panel up slightly out from the window channel.

9. Disconnect the two cables from the door handle and lock mechanisms. Again, be careful unsnapping them from the plastic slots so the tabs do not snap off. Rotate and lift the ends out.

10. Not sure if any of the 2015+ have puddle lights in the door panels, if so disconnect them.
