Alright so the Chevy guy doesn't want to race anymore. And here recently I got a Bullydog gt tuner and can run a 16.8 (Crew cab, 4WD, 06 Titan) and this 2016 hemi wants to go at it.. he has zero mods and I have the tuner, airaid cai, and metal mulisha exhaust. Think I have a slight chance or will it be pretty close?

Headers an uprev you'd take him for sure.
Stock bpipes with your current setup I also doubt it. Not that they are a huge gain but would definitely contribute to what your running now, 2.5 bpipes are worth like 8-10 rwhp dyno proven.

The ram's 8 speed trans is no joke. You'll need to strip it down, remove tailgate, spare, and the seats, and launch in 4hi, to have any chance.

If you race in 4hi, ALWAYS remember to disengage 4x4 before making any turns on dry pavement.

Good luck, be safe, and have fun

Speaking of headers and uprev... I'm thinking about buying the performance package off of cajunbpipes.. I feel like my weakest point is, as mentioned, stock b pipes and back but I also think the metal mulisha exhaust is not giving me the performance aspect as compared to the stage 2 package you can buy. Should I just do the stage 1 package or stage 2?

If the metal mulisha isn't 3" pipe all the way back the stage 2 will benefit you more.

More than anything, it's who's driving? Tires play a factor too, off road tires look good, but they aren't for racing. I'm still going to go with the better driver here, not necessarily the faster vehicle. Race him for no money, just for fun and see, and I would bet if your the better driver you take him. I've seen plenty of guys with super fast setups, but couldn't drive for sh!t

I have 33 inch nitto dura grappler high way terrains.. and I still don't get what you guys mean by " better driver" I sortve get it but it's not that hard, to me there isn't a lot to racing people
I hate to be so bold to say, that other guy may be the better driver, just based on that answer. See there is way more to racing than just jamming the pedal to the floor, otherwise everybody could be a race car driver. If your racing the 1/4 or light to light, the launch will make or break the win.

I don't brake torque when I launch, I start in 1 and then move up to 4. This felt the best for me but if there's a better way I'm open to any suggestions

Unless you've got the patch through uprev or have done the mod yourself at the ecu or brake pedal. You can't do what you just mentioned without the ecu pulling power off the launch.

i raced this GMC Yukon with a 6.0 V8... I had him from the start all the way to a 1/2 mile when he started to pass me until about 3/4 of a mile when I got to about 105 I passed him. Good race and he was straight stock. Gotta get some headers and b-pipes and maybe uprev unless my a/f is good.

I'll never completely understand the drag racing of trucks. If I really wanted to drag race, I would be driving a sports car. Not that I don't have fun squealing some tires, I've never bought a truck because of a 1/4 mile or 0-60 time.

This is my first time in a Titan. They were clearing the 2015s out at the beginning of this year. I've put an airaid mxp intake and a flowmaster series 10 cat back system on it. My previous truck was an 2007 tundra, straight piped. My tundra would blow the doors of this Titan, I mean it was ALOT faster, not even in the same ball park! If you want speed go drive a Tundra. They are fast as hell for stock trucks. They are also amazingly reliable, if my Titan is half as good as my old tundra I'll be happy
