Hi, please help...
We have a 16 Nissan Titan (in Australia). The coolant is overflowing from the reservoir and then the engine getting hot. This first happened when towing a caravan, although I had noticed the level drop twice and had topped up before this. It was taken in to mechanic and they have replaced thermostat (I disagreed with them that this was the problem). We waited for nearly 2 weeks to get one from states and got car back today... same problem. The level warning comes on with NO change in Temp and then temp comes up once level is down. The coolant is coming out of the overflow hose at the reservoir. Head gasket leak? Any other ideas? I understand this is a circulating pressurised system with the reservoir tank. Not overfilled
Thanks

Get some of those little test strips from your local auto part place, that you dip into the coolant in the reservoir, and test the coolant for exhaust gases. If it turns colors, that means head gasket leak.

They are cheap and usually right by the register
