Just wanted to give some pricing information.

Last weekend I purchased a 2016 Titan XD Platinum (Gas 5.6)

MSRP $52,630

Dealer Transfer/Prep $1,195

Total Asking: $53,825

Out the door: $51,450 (Includes sale price + $1,060 tax + registration ~$100)

Note: Take savings of trade ($34,500)

Taxed on $51,450 - $34,500= $16950*.0625 (Texas Tax) $1060

The HP number easily beats my modified and tuned '07. Not so sure about the TQ number though. Still, it's nice to have those numbers without all the work and money I've put into mine.

But mine no longer smells new. :)
You need to stop hanging out with Blackbeauty. He will stink up anyone's truck. Ask Deadriver.

How does the ride compare to your old truck, can you give us any details?
Also in for hearing that since it's one area Truck brands better get right, now you have soccer moms and even the random chick that wants to upgrade from her Xterra that wants to get into trucks. We're in an era where luxury + traditional truck capability is being merged together like no other.

The truck market turned to soccer moms and yuppies when the started adding automatic transmissions and air conditioning to trucks . Lol.

I wouldn't say that as I know a lot of farmers that demanded that long before yuppies started buying trucks.

Of course most farmers now would probably freak out if they had to use a tractor with out A/C. Farming definitely is not anything like what I grew up doing. I'd kill myself if I was stuck in a tractor with GPS that drove itself across the field like most of them do now, it was boring enough before that.

I would describe the ride as smooth as my 2014 1/2 ton High Country Silverado (much better than my 07 titan). Handling feels more like a "big" truck which it is as far as ride height and wheelbase goes. I was very disappointed originally with the performance of the 400-HP motor when it came to acceleration(I came a 6.2 tuned Chevy). After 1500 miles it feels alot better, very peppy.

I pulled my tractor the other day and this is where it really sets itself apart. It was effortless and definitely the best pulling vehicle I have ever had (Tacoma, 3 Tundras, 2 first Gen Titans, and 2 Silverado's w/6.2).

The interior build quality is every bit as good as a $55K High Country, but has more up to date feature including camera quality and software. The included Titan boxes are extremely usable and high grade. I really like all of the luxurious touches of platinum. The little things like adjustable headlights, LED headlights, LED bed-lights, trailer light test, horn beep on tire correct air pressure, etc.

Overall I am very happy with my purchase. Hope this helps!

Whats wrong with Moms and Yuppies? Most of them used to be able to drive a stick, of course these days it's a dying art almost everywhere.
Nothing wrong with either, but ask both what "double clutch" means? You'll get my point.
