I'm at work and not near my truck right now so I can't check it out myself. But does anyone know what the specs are for the OEM exhaust? I'm looking at just doing a muffler swap right now, but I'm not sure what size the exhaust is. Someone online said it is 2.5" into the muffler and 3" going out, but I'd like to know if anyone can confirm that. Thanks.

Not sure about the dimensions but in case you don't know, the OEM muffler has dual in and single out

Pretty sure its 2.25" dual inlets and 3" single outlet. Anyone know of a cat-back bolt on made for new titans yet? I'm thinking about doing dual electronic cutouts before muffler and calling it a day...

Its darn near exactly the same as the first generations. 2” into a 2.75” tailpipe stock. JBA has the replacement ready to roll 2.25” into 3”.

Anyone actually believe the claimed dyno gains on the AFE website? The before power looks about where I thought it would be, but the after is claiming 18hp and 24tq at the rear wheel with just the cat back exhaust.

I've been thinking about the JBA, but if these are actually legit power gains, I may change my mind. I just hate the exit location.

Sorry, just saw this. 2.5" to 3.5" outlet with the AFE.

The JBA has been the top performer since 2004 on the Titan VK56. The thing I don’t believe is that the truck made that power with the stock manifolds and bpipe cats in place. Those restrictive cats are the limiting factor so I dont care what exhaust system you put on the Titan until those cats are gone or replaced with better flowing cats your not gonna see huge gains. We have proved this over and over with the 1st generation Titans and this new 2017 uses the same manifold/bpipe cats and design as the 2004-2015. The bpipes are still 2” on the 2017 so a 2.5” ypipe into 3.5” is pointless IMO until you upgrade what’s in front of it.

What about level of noise though?I replaced my frontier secondary with test pipes and it was way too loud under load.

Oh and I'm running the afe rear exit cat-back...live it. Want to do test pipes nut afraid that it will be too loud.

JBA will not have any drone just a low rumble with the stock cats in place. Guys I would be smart and prepare for manifold failure and get the exhaust systems than are proven to work. These manifolds are the same style as gen 1 Titans only time will tell but my money is on cracks just like previous Titans.

I'd love to replace the manifold with headers, but can't because VT has a visual inspection of the emission system on top of the diagnostic scan. B pipes are easy enough to change out once a year and should be better than nothing.
