I have a rattle coming from under the front wind shield defroster vent. At the back of the front dash.

Sounds like plastic pieces constantly popping on rough roads.

Dealer has removed the defroster vent trim piece and added felt underneath, but now the rattle seems worse than before.

Anyone else getting a rattle at the top of the dash?

So far I have been really lucky with rattles. I'm expecting them. at some point though.

I have rattles but I think they area all from items I have inside the truck, haven't had a chance to remove everything and go for a ride to see if that eliminates the noises. The most notable one was my sunglasses rattling in the holder, I fixed that by stuffing a couple of lens cloths in there with the glasses.

My sunglasses would rattle. I lined the inside of the sunglass compartment with felt and it solved the issue.

My really bad rattle is coming from under the defroster vent. They took the gauge cluster out and said the wire harness under there was never clipped in properly.

But I would have thought they unclipped stuff because it's 10 times worse now.

What is Fletcher? That sounds like a better solution than cleaning cloths that fall out when I open the compartment
