First off I came from a 2013 Mustang GT coupe so don't be too harsh

Pro's:
1. Room, room and more room! I am 6'3 and with the drivers seat moved all the way back I still can sit comfortably in the back seat.
2. Storage space.....14 cupholders and more than enough console space and behind the rear seat
3. Exhaust note, I remember the old Titan's were vocal more so than the '17 but still has a nice growl when pushed.
4. Ride height, sits more like a 4x4 than a 2wd
5. Factory warranty and 6 year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty

Con's:
1. The indecisive transmission! Once I get a free Saturday I'm taking her to Mountain View Nissan and have them perform the software update
2. Fuel economy although this might be due to the transmission's indecisiveness
3. I'm really hoping the aftermarket will embrace the Titan

Bought her with 52 miles on the clock, only option was the floor mats.

Can you expound on what you mean by indecisive transmission? What is the software update supposed to do? I just bought an '08 and love it, but it does seem to take awhile to downshift when I hammer the throttle.

I need to look and see when my Titan was built, 2017 Titan S crew cab and I have no complaints at all about the transmission, or the gas mileage. I did a 200 mile highway trip yesterday, with a pretty stout tailwind about half the way and the same crosswind the rest of the way. 22 mpg with the cruise set at 75 mph.

I made a 250 mile round trip today: 60 miles of 2 lane mountain highway with speeds between 35 and 55, and 190 miles of 4 lane divided highway at 60 to 65 mph and got a little over 20mpg hand calculated on 87 octane.

The pause when you hammer it was present in my Mustang, it had a drive-by-wire throttle ie no throttle cable....I suspect the Titan is the same. When I brought the truck home the transmission would downshift 2 gears when going up even a slight hill and sometimes would downshift and upshift harshly, and to get it to downshift requires you to hammer it which again sounds like a software issue but I'm no engineer.

Same. Love my S without the 'badge'. My build was Oct 16 ... this is just simply a great truck.

An update: After 2000+ miles the transmission has improved.....although I do not like the throttle lag when you call upon all 390 ponies to perform as advertised. Gas mileage on 87 octane has ranged from 17 to 20 according to the trip computer although that has shown to be at least .5 or .6 mpg off, bad thing is I'm wanting a catback exhaust......

The trip computer MPG number seems to consistently read ~0.5 mpg high on my '08, too. I guess they figured it wasn't worth the effort to fix for the last 10 years.

Something I noticed this weekend after 2 days and over 850 miles of driving.....why is the cruise control so quick to downshift 2 gears when going up a slight hill? If the cruise is off it doesn't do it and why dont we have the option of more gear choices and a locking rear end.
