Ok I am looking at getting new tires and wheels for my 2006 cc 4x4 I have decided on Moto Metal 956 17x8 wheels and would like an opinion on which tires to get. I am looking at either Nitto Terra Grappler 295/70/17 or BF Goodrich All Terrain 285/70/17. I have a 2" leveling kit on the front, and dont want to completly fill up the wheel well.

Opinions would be great

Well I have an 05 CC 4x4 leveled with BFG 285/70/17 AT and I'm going to replace them with Terra's 295/70/17 when I get some money together. So my vote is the Terra's.

What about 285/75/17 Terra Grapplers? I have them on my Titan with PC Stage 1. They are an odd size and can only be found with Nitto. They are roughly 33.9" tall, which would be taller than the 295/70 tires.

I think I would also do the grapplers. I have an 08 Pro4x cc and am looking for either 275/70/18 or 285 in open country mt's. I found a place in town for $1500 for the 285s mounted. Anyone know a cheaper vendor and will the 285 fit with a 2" leveling kit?

Rolling on Nitto 295/70/17 bought from Discount Tire online and installed at Discount Tire store for great price. Could not be happier, they fill in the wheel well perfect and ride very well. Only suspension mod on mine is DR/Icon front coilovers (adjusted for only 2" level).

Highly recommend going through discount as they price matched/ beat anything I could find, delivered in 2 days and installed in less than 30min. Great experience all the way around......and the T looks much better because of it.

Ok now cant decide between Duratrac 295/65/18 and open country mts 285/70/18. The duratracs are quite a bit cheaper online but have been told they run small. Does anyone have some on truck in this size and maybe an opinion about the two?

I have 295/70-17 Terra Grapplers on my truck. It's a CC 4x4 with 5100's in the front and Deavers in the back so it's probably the equivalent to a 2" lift. The 295/70's fit fine with no rubbing at all and no PWM to my knowledge.
I'm getting ready to upgrade to an 18" rim and tire package and am contemplating trying a 295/70-18 Terra, but I'm worried it will rub.

Those are Pro Comp 6001's. Nice looking wheel I think but there are so darn many that look great. I am a chrome guy and not the black wheels I see a lot of on the board.

Yeah I like the chrome as well. I was looking at the moto metal 956 wheels which look similar to those

Just looked at those and they are sweet. The main thing is how wide you want to go. I did not want a 9" width so the 6001's I could get in 17x8. A lot of the Moto's are 9" as the smallest they offer. I was looking for more height and not width. Good luck

Yeah and most of the moto metals are a -12pm offset. The 956 they offer in a 17x8 with a +18mm. I was thinking of running the 295/70/17 Nittos on them as long as it won't rub.
