Went to Billy Bob off road in Fife and was quoted $1200 for kit and install for a 3" body lift. After reading all that I could about the BL, I know I couldn't tackle this op on my own and was wondering if anyone knew of anywhere else that has installed the kit for a bit less. The kit is from Performance Accessories and after reading the .pdf for install, that looks like a PITA to do even with help.

Any suggestions are appreciated! Cheers

Honestly, the install isn't going to be terrible if you have an extra set of hands to help do it and drink beer with. The PDF looks a little crazy but in summary you're just installing a hockey puck under each body mount and relocating your bumper.

Maybe that'll give ya a bit more confidence. I will say, here in Louisiana, I was curious and grabbed some quotes on a BL purchase and install. The average quote was at least a grand. So 1200 might be your best option. Kit costs around 300 and average labor at off road shops here is 90 so that's 10 hrs labor. :eh:

Thanks for grabbing some quotes, guess the price isn't all that bad since the kit is $400 and labor is $800. I may have to talk myself out of this and go another route. I'm just wanting a bit more lift than 6", I saw that Pro Comp has the 3" block for $119 and I could grab a set of the ICON coilovers I see advertised on TT but I'm not sure if that'll do anything. I have the RCX 6" lift kit with Billstein fronts and figured a 3" BL would do the trick, open to any suggestions to go up to 8".

Cheers

Coilovers and deavers are your best bet. You already have a 4" rear block.
