Hoping someone smart out there is refering to the 08 CR buying guide (extra help obviously needed-pg. 209 auto reliability)
"Someone smart" says the guy with Truck Nutz on his Titan...
the toyota tundra for the years 01 02 03 04 05 06 the used car veridct is better and the new car prediction is "better than average". it's also listed under the good bets list. moving the the 08 models auto ratings the tundra is rated 78 or very good. once again, even though it's rated well, its not the truck im looking for.
The 5.7L Tundra, which is the only one I was ever referring to, didn't exist for 01...02...03...04...05...06. That's fine if you want a different year. I don't put Toyota on a pedestal. Yeah, the 22R is bulletproof, the IFS is junk and will fall apart fast if you use it offroad often, same goes with the front outers. Birfield anyone?
The only Toyota I'd buy is an FJ40. Different strokes for different folks, these days Toyota is a name whose reliability is nothing like it used to be yet they're charging a premium for their vehicles and their sales people are arrogant.
I'll pass, but you go right ahead and go down that road if you want. Apparently CR is the bible.
