Anyone who doesn't carpool or drive something good on gas or cut WAY down on driving is a fool. If we pay it, they'll keep charging ridiculous prices for NO reason. Take mass transit if you can. The Titan will stay in the garage but only because I refuse to fund the oil companies who'll use ANY excuse to phuck the consumer!

Gas prices shot up 20 cents a gallon here today to an average of ~ $3.45.
I would like to thank the government for making the dollar worthless. Keep printing that monopoly money. I think I'm going to trade all my cash for Pesos. In a few more years, I'll be rich when the dollar is worth less than the Peso. :ftard:

Also, special recognition goes to the enviro-nazis who have managed to block exploring our own reserves and any attempt at a new refinery.

Last but not least, thank you oil speculators for manipulating the market. The next best thing to winning the lottery is fabricating fear and making tons of money from it. By the way, a gnat landed on a oil pipeline and farted. Better get busy driving the prices up. :bangit:

On the plus side, it will be a good time to buy a truck. :teethmast
I'm glad my roommate has a car and I ride to work with him. My gym is like 5 miles away and the grocery store is 3 miles away. The titan is only getting play time on the weekends to off road...
Oh and screw driving 30 minutes to see my girlfriend... she can drive her car to my place to see me :)
F**K me, 50 mi commute a day between school/work...10mpg...I love my truck but yikes, it's already a $75 fill up...:ftard:
I better get some gas tonight , it will be 20¢ more tomorrow .. what little momentum the economy had will come crashing to a stop.
I'm glad the Smiths out here has a fuel rewards program... maybe start buying groceries at a store that also offers gas discounts?
$4 dollars a gallon and the housing crisis basically put us in a recession. Since we are still in a housing crisis I suspect $5 a gallon will just about do us in.
Well, from what I was reading today, part of it's due to Libya, they are fearing that things might cause shipments from Saudi Arabia to be delayed or stopped all together. I also read something about another one of our major suppliers is going to start sending more to China, because they are willing to pay more or something along that lines.
It's all being controlled by the Futures Market. They are the ones who are driving up the price. It's simple: Buy the futures, drive up the price, then sell. There is no shortage of oil. The oil companies love it because they don't have to do a thing. All controlled by the Futures Trading Market. JMOP
It's already over 3.50 a gal here in Cali. In some places for the cheap stuff I've seen it as high as $3.89 in remote areas. This here is some BS.... I drive 100-200 miles a day when I go out, this sucks. I guess I'll be doing ride alongs or more phone calls. It's $85-90 when I fill up now and at 2-2 1/2 times a week urghhhh I have to start charging more.
Am I the only one that daily drives their Titan?

I'm screwed aren't I?
Am I the only one that daily drives their Titan
nope 50 miles a day 7 days a week. WE are screwed.

I have a sportbike I use on the track, not one thing street legal about it. I might have to register it and rig up a brake and headlight and use that to get back and forth to work.
charity starts at home, start tapping the resources we have here in our own country. See what that does for the overall price globally. And while were at dissolve OPEC too.

They say there's 30 billion+ barrels under North Datoka.

The sad part is, OPEC is not raising the price, we are doing it to ourselves with the market. When was the last time you heard OPEC say that they were raising prices. No need to, we do it ourselves. :bangit:

I can't see five dollar gas, the economy can't support it for very long.
