Hey guys,

I've read the 5100 install/tips thread multiple times over and I'm ready to pull the trigger on this. My oem suspension is SHOT and it's time for an upgrade.

I just want to make sure i'm understanding everything correctly and that i'm ordering everything that i SHOULD/Need.

04 crew cab 4x4

5100's 2 front, 2 rear (.5")
moog springs for 08 4x4 (.5'')
1.5" spacer
should give me a total of 2.5" in the front and in theory i shouldn't have contact from the stock uca's. Correct?

prg camber bolts
2" blocks for the rear, coupled with the 5100's

This should raise me up and leave me level correct?
I have 275/65/18's now so In theory I should be able to run 35's after the suspension upgrade correct?

Is there anything you guys recommend replacing while I'm under there, or anything I'm leaving out?

I really just want to make the orders, have everything ready to go so I can make an afternoon of it and not be stuck 'needing' to order something i left out haha

Thanks!

Z

Can't help you with the front parts but from what I heard 2'' rear lift might be to much for 5100's. You might need 5125's instead. Better make sure before you order.

I've just bought 5100+5125's and aim for a 2'' lift front and back, so I'm trying to figure out what else I need.

Gosh... where to start

I have an '04 CC 4wd with 08+ springs, bils on the lowest purch and no block and the front sat 2" below the rear.

5100 on the middle purch will give you 1" (new ones don't give you the 0.5" on the lowest purch like the old ones do)
1.5" block will give you 1.5"

Front will be 2.5" plus whatever you get from the springs (I didn't get the .5" on the springs but maybe you will)

Rear - pick your block size based on the rake you want. If over 1.5", you will need the 5125 vs the 5100. At 1.5" you can do either. Below 1.5" the 5100s.....

Get extended bump stops. I picked some off eBay, energy suspension they were $10. I had to enlarge the hole in the LCA just a hair to fit the bolt, but a guy showed me a pick of a smashed bill than hit the stock one. Apparently they have more travel, for the price I think it's worth it.

x2 on the bump stops. YOU WILL BLOW THEM OUT. its a super easy install, i also had to drill mine out a tiny bit to get them to fit.

Originally I planned on going Bilstein/Moog4×4 also but was afraid of the possible CBC. From the millions of threads I read you should be fine on the middle perch. But it was 50/50 for those who ran it on the top perch...at least from what I read but everyone's setup is different . I ended up getting the DK UCA's to avoid any contact whatsoever. Here's a few pictures with the DK's and the clearance it gave me. Just enough so with stock UCA's I'm sure it'll be close!

Gah. Ok
So called ajusa. Guy wasn't a ton of help. Couldn't help me with 5125 questions...
So I found UCA's from rough country for a 3"...
If I get UCA's
Then I could run bilsteins on middle perch with 2" spacer and get a total of 3" up front correct?
What about bottom perch and 3" spacer?
Thoughts? Lol sorry, just need help cuz I wanna get this done ASAP!

Yes. Most people will say to run the smallest spacer you can get away with (ie go with middle perch and a 2" spacer for bils and a 3" lift). I think the RC kit actually comes with a 3" spacer though. You will most likely need a UCA for that much lift.

The 5125 are easy. Greg actually puts the bushings on them for you and you order them by the amount of lift in the back. Some other sites either don't come with bushings or you have to install them yourself. Check out his website to see what I mean. PRGProducts.com

For what its worth you are essentially headed down the road of PRG's 3.5" lift kit. PRG Products

get a hold of Mike from TAP...site vendor here. he hooked me up on my complete suspension except for the Deaver's and PRG spacer. i ordered those from Greg at PRG. How much did you get quoted for the RC UCA's? i think you would be better off with the Bilstein 5100's/Moog4x4 coils because that eliminates the spacer period! but there have been guys who will still put a spacer on top anyways. i'm not sure how much larger spacer you can go with tho?

Just a quick heads-up: you cannot run 35s with 3" of lift. The Titan sits with the wheel center above the fender bottom, stock, and raising it 3" won't get you clearance for 35s. Additionally, there's a good chance they will also rub the frame. For 35s, you need the 6" lift.

Hmm. The tires I have now, 275/65/18's are about 33.5 and I have plenty of clearance. I guess once we get the lift on there, we'll see what we can fit, I heard with a 1"offset wheel 35's can be done, saw it on a thread here...

just went back to the top and read what tires you have and 35's will rub on just a 3" lift. i'm rubbing at 6"+. with the wheels straight you would think just by looking that there's plenty of clearance. but when you start turning that wheel it totally changes

Glad you got a hold of him.

35's will fit depending on wheel width and offset. you'll need to do the PWM though.
