I want to know if the items I want to purchase are all compatible without any problems. I just purchased an 08 Titan 4x4 SE CrewCab. I want to lift it using the fabtech 6" lift kit. I will upgrading to the dirt logic shocks as well. The wheels I wanted to get were the 18" x 9" 6 on 5.5, with a 5" backspace. The tires would be Pro Comp Radial Xtreme 35 x 12.50 x 18. I want to know if I will get any tire rub anywhere or at anytime when I am driving. If I would get any rub what other options do I have? Smaller tire size? Different rim offset? I am new to lifts and 4x4's so I dont want to purchase all this only to realize my tires are rubbing. I have read a few posts here about people going with the recommended tire and wheel combos and then on the drive home they realize their tires are rubbing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I beleive 4.5" of backspacing would be optimal in regards to your application...and you will rub the inner fender well at full turn with some amount of compression on the front suspension...unless you perform the "pinch weld mod".

You want the 5" of Backspacing, that's as close to stock as your gonna get with those wheels. Any less backspacing and you WILL rub, shoot you might even rub just a tad with those but chances are you won't........

based on their website, they suggest 8" wide with 5" of backspacing. that's basically your stock wheels if you have 18s. if you don't mind the trouble and expense, mount the new tires on the stock wheels and see how well they do. more than likely, you may have to do the pinch weld mod anyways.

I'm not trying to be a buzz-kill, but I have a CC 4x4 with 18x9" (-12 offset/ 4.5" backspace) wheels w/ 35" tires and a 6" Fabtech lift...and I get the previously mentioned rub. I'm afraid with 5" of backspacing the tire may ride on the Fabtech steering knuckle.

Your not being a buzz kill. This just goes to show how much better off he's gonna be with the 18X9 with 5" BS, the wheel he is talking about is MUCH closer to the stock specs than yours by far. Stock Specs for the 18x8 is 5.5" backspacing and +25 offset and for the 17x7.5" backspacing is 5 3/8" and +30 offset. So yes he could experience some rubbing as those wheels are a bit off of the stock specs but they are much closer than your set up.
