Sigh....... You guys understand that this is all for not right????? The liberal media will only critisize a little to pretend to be honest. The D party hold the majority of voters and the hill.

The republicans are too busy fighting amongst themselves to get it together. The R party HAS to dump the religious right or they have no chance. younger voters don't like any of that crap, the screaming about gay marriage and abortion and all that social stuff that is a no sell everywhere except the deep south esp when we all know most of these guys Dem and R aren't saints in their personal lives.

I have yet to see the R party come out with their version of a health plan. Yes the system is messed up I pay almost $1000.00 per month for my workers per guy and our plan is ok but not great. They have to get the cost under control no matter who is paying goverment or private. if the R party wants to win then fine what's the platform??

How are you going to reduce health costs for buisness owners??

How are you going to get us out of Iraq and Afganistan ??? My son is 13 and 5 years from now i don't want to be watching him on CNN in some god forsaken hell hole fighting for a bunch of people who will all hate us anyhow. That area of the world has had no lasting peace since the time of the Bible.

How are you going to stop all the jobs from going to Mexico and China?

Forget a 3rd party not going to happen you can't do it without special interest money and they will never back you so that is a no go.

i admire those folks determination marching on Washigton but call me a pesisimist I just don't see it going anywhere without a Ronald Regan type super star as leader to counter the Cult of Obama and who is that person??? The R party had better find him fast or the next election is a forgone conclusion.

You seem to have a variety of issues within this post!

1. If the incumbent party continues to try to spend without reducing the deficit, a large enough group will be kicked out of office. They are not all on the same page.
2. Reduce opportunity for lawsuits.
3. Increase incentives for proactive health care to avoid dealing with 10x that expense on the back end.
4. Health care reform before a government health care plan should even be considered.
5. Overhaul Medicare/Social Security.
6. Small businesses should co-op as well.

Wow, and I thought I was the pessimist, lol. I tend to agree with you for the most part and if the march on Washington were about a quarter of the size it was, I would think this all was a foregone conclusion as well but the fact that people are actually willing to get off the couch and take to the streets gives me some hope, hope that we can have some effect outside of voting for whichever butt puppets are going to get elected anyway and hope that those butt puppets may do what's right without people shooting at them first, lol.

That's refereed to as being economical with the truth or "parsing your words" these days in the politically correct fantasy world the politicians are creating but back a couple of decades, it was just called lying...

Buried in today's paper with no estimate give as to crowd size.

AP news story = weak coverage.

Thousands march to US Capitol to protest spending Knoxville News Sentinel

Thousands of people marched to the U.S. Capitol on Saturday, carrying signs with slogans such as "Obamacare makes me sick" as they protested the president's health care plan and what they say is out-of-control spending.
The line of protesters spread across Pennsylvania Avenue for blocks, all the way to the capitol, according to the D.C. Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency. People were chanting "enough, enough" and "We the People." Others yelled "You lie, you lie!" and "Pelosi has to go," referring to California congresswoman Nancy Pelosi.
Demonstrators waved U.S. flags and held signs reading "Go Green Recycle Congress" and "I'm Not Your ATM." Men wore colonial costumes as they listened to speakers who warned of "judgment day" — Election Day 2010.
Richard Brigle, 57, a Vietnam War veteran and former Teamster, came from Paw Paw, Mich. He said health care needs to be reformed — but not according to President Barack Obama's plan.
"My grandkids are going to be paying for this. It's going to cost too much money that we don't have," he said while marching, bracing himself with a wooden cane as he walked.
FreedomWorks Foundation, a conservative organization led by former House Majority Leader **** Armey, organized several groups from across the country for what they billed as a "March on Washington."
Organizers say they built on momentum from the April "tea party" demonstrations held nationwide to protest tax policies, along with growing resentment over the economic stimulus packages and bank bailouts.
Many protesters said they paid their own way to the event — an ethic they believe should be applied to the government. They say unchecked spending on things like a government-run health insurance option could increase inflation and lead to economic ruin.
Terri Hall, 45, of Starke, Fla., said she felt compelled to become political for the first time this year because she was upset by government spending.
"Our government has lost sight of the powers they were granted," she said. She added that the deficit spending was out of control, and said she thought it was putting the country at risk.
Norman Kennedy, 64, of Charleston, S.C., said he wants to send a message to federal lawmakers that America is "deeply in debt." He said though he'd like everyone to have free health care, he said there's no money to pay for it.
"We want change and we're going to get change," Kennedy said. "I want to see fiscal responsibility and if that means changing Congress that will be a means to that end."
Other sponsors of the rally include the Heartland Institute, Americans for Tax Reform and the Ayn Rand Center for Individuals Rights.

You don't want to know how many pages were devoted to that stinker of a football game. . .

Crap, maybe it is true. Here is a time lapse from the event from 8 to 11:30 and judging from the the crowd taped compared to the USA Todays crowd estimate diagram I posted in the previous link, I wouldn't be surprised if it was a million and likely it was at least 500,000 which to me is a huge success and I would have been very pleased just to see the initial 50,000 estimate but one thing is certain, Obama was real smart to get the Hell out of Dodge for the day, lol.

There would be no republican party, with out the relegious right, just two democrat parties, both trying to see which could be the most immoral and liberal.

Reagan:
“There are no easy answers' but there are simple answers. We must have the courage to do what we know is morally right.”
“Within the covers of the Bible are all the answers for all the problems men face.”

Which is why there is no republican party right now.

F**K religion in politics. If the republican party could focus on fiscal conservatism and small govt (across the board), and not SOCIAL conservatism (which by nature is big gov't), I'd vote for them across the board.

As long as the bible thumpers are their loudest voice... Obama is the lesser of two evils as far as I'm concerned.

The Bible thumpers may be the loudest for the Republicans but I don't believe that's the majority of the people showing up at the Tea Parties. I'm sure many of them consider themselves Christians considering that 75% of America also does but "Bible thumping Republicans trying to strike down Obama via Jesus" at the Tea Parties is not the norm, in fact, I see more Bible verse signs at your average ball game.

To Hell with the Parties, uphold the Constitution and quit taking all our damn money is the overriding mentality from what I have seen at the Tea Parties and it's about time. I got a kick of them saying that the people marched on DC to protest this or that, are they blind or just stupid because I think I saw a sign there for everything including the Vietnam war, lol.

The middle class is under attack, many of them are beginning to realize it and are taking to the streets in protest and sure, you are always going to have the fringe elements passing out 9/11 Truther videos showing a UFO hitting the World Trade Center instead of a plane or some preacher standing on a stump claiming judgment day is next week but I believe the vast majority of the protesters just want to reclaim there country from the corrupt goons on the Hill who are finally being outed on both sides of the isle.

Are the Republicans trying to influence or take over the Tea Parties? You bet your atheist azz they are but the Republicans have another thing coming if they think this is just a Party switch. Many People including myself are pissed off in general at the Federal Government and the Republicans had better seriously consider reforming their Witchy ways before they are burned at the stake by Constitutional conservatives along with their Progressive buddies in the Democratic Party.

Times are a changing, whether it will do any good remains to be seen but it beats the Hell out of a bloody Revolution so "Tea Party down" and see if the Hill will listen before guys like Helo run out of places to store ammo and have to "make room for more", lol.

I would like to see more Democrats turning out, up in arms. The moderates, both left and right of center, need to be outraged.

I was happy seeing the fox coverage that a lot of the people were pissed for what I would call: The right reasons. It wasn't partisan hackery as much as it was concern for out of control spending, big govt, and dc being out of touch. Glad they did what they did.

You want a country with your god, I don't. I don't care if people have god, I don't want one religon's god to be the law of the land. Just so happens, the constitutions on MY SIDE.

Men decide laws, god decides prayers. The middle east is a good example of what happens when religon and politic become intimate partners.

Amendment 1 - Freedom of Religion, Press, Expression. Ratified 12/15/1791. Note

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
It is freedom of religion not freedom from religion.

All this was ever intended to do was to stop the government from starting a government religion like England did, (Church of England)

Christians, Jews, and Muslims, along with all other religions have as much right to be involved in politics as you do.

As 85% of Americans claim to be Christian, I think we need to start our own political party.

What I would like to see is for people to treat the Parties like two sides of the same overtaxed coin which is all they are, over taxing, war mongering, big government bureaucrats who, aside from a few minor differences, all cost the people way too much money, trample the Constitution in their own ways and constantly bicker about how bad the other side is, as if they both don't suck Donkey balls or Elephant balls, take your pick.

That is the one thing that got me to first listen to a guy like Beck, I heard him say that both Parties were to blame and then started watching his show and for me, guys like Hannity, Limbaugh, Oriley, Olberman, Mathews and Maddow could all take a lesson in that regard from the Rodeo Clown. F*ck the Parties, they both suck balls.

Wake up people, we are being screwed from both sides and it seems to me that the hatred of "the other Party" blinds many people to the horrific behavior of their own. Face it folks, we are getting screwed six ways to Sunday by DC and this "lessor of two evils" has to stop or at least if you do help to elect someone, assume they are a complete scumbag until proven otherwise and don't invest so much into their success that you can't call a dirt bag a dirt bag and protest them with the rest of us when the time comes and that time is now.

Are you seriously believing that Christians (those that claim to be so) live a good and clean error free life-one you believe exists if the opposite is a satanic society?

You probably want to do a google search and find out how many Christian politicians or Christians have gained notoriety for fall from grace as it were.

Or if you choose to pick up something to throw at another man's house, I suggest twinkies instead...

institutionalized religion works about the same as socialism in its extreme forms; telling you how to think, act, believe, and how to view that which is different. Requiring obedience/subservience, and service when any of that should be given free by choice.

It was religious persecution that caused a group of people to flee England and go somewhere else...wonder how that turned out?:eyebrow:
