About to give up on Titans:(

So after trading in my 07 because of a driveshaft clunk mystery that could not be solved I bought a 2008 Crew Cab Long bed 4x4 Titan. Now 3 weeks after owning the truck and only 1200 miles my MAF sensor went out?! I don't know what it is. Maybe I'm just bad luck with these things...but all I can say is in my book the Titan is on its last life line.:(

What were the indications leading to the replacement of the MAF sensor?
Good luck with your next truck!:smileysqu
The service engine soon light had just come on today so i took it in and thats what they said was wrong and would be replaced
That sucks !!!!!!!!!!!!
I hear you. I'm getting close to how you feel. My 05 has been at the dealer over 10 times for legit problems. It's there right now. The muffler and tail pipe are rusted through @ 33,000 miles. The parts are on backorder, so far they have had the truck for 5 days. Fixing a squeeky seat, a/c drain. I like the truck but ownership experience has been hell. I have to much money invested in it but i may have to cut my losses.
Yea its really sad, when I got my 07 all my friends were jealous but now that they've seen all the problems I and others have had, they're kinda laughing at me about it. Sadly there are times I wish I kept my Ford Ranger:-\
Don't let the door hit ya........

Sorry to hear about your troubles. If a MAF sensor( that nissan didn't make) has made you ready to jump ship than bon voyage. Chit happens. Go over to the Hemi and ford forums, all vehicles will have their share of problems. I don't care how many time my Titan is in the shop, it would never make me want to drive a ford ranger. Maybe if gas wasn't 3.00 a gallon you would love your Titan more. Good luck dude.
wow all this negativity...i didnt say i was getting rid of it just yet, it just seems problem after problem keeps putting my baby down.
I have a 07 XE KC and so far knock on wood with 16000 miles all I have done was replace the drivers side shock........now watch something bad will happen now that im bragging.....
My 08 is having issues also. The mileage was about 13.6mpg! After the volant intake/exhaust and tb spacer from my 06 it made the jump to just under 15mpg. My a/c doesn't work now as well. Called Nissan consumer affairs since I get the "wait till after your 1st oil change", then "wait until after 5,000 miles", now "wait until after 10,000 miles". Tired of excuses. I wish I would have just kept my 06 that got nearly 19mpg, made more power and torque with the same mods (plus timing advance).
For all the Titans that have numerous problems, I'm sure they are many, many more that haven't had a single one

"AMEN" !!!!!!!!!
All vehicles can have their share of tribulations. Just let Nissan handle the details and hope for the best.
i agree but if you do defect, where are you located
because i want the tires...
I'm not worried about them fixing it, they're overnighting the sensor tomorrow so it will be there on friday and be installed on friday. I'm not knocking on Nissan or the Titans either, yes I still love the truck my 07 went everywhere, and it felt so good when my friend who talked the most trash about it got stuck to the frame...what pulled him out? yup my titan. The 08 is gettin there Exhaust and intake installed on friday after I get her back.

And thinking back on it My truck is under warranty meaning something goes wrong they fix it at their cost. My Ranger had no warranty and I put 7000 dollars into it, most of which was to make the damn thing run.

I think it will pull through and become an awesome truck.
Well I have an 07 CC with 15k miles on it and I had to have my radiator replaced. But I still love my truck. I feel so great when I get into her and just take off. I have to agree with the majority here about each manufacture having their share of problems. Also as long as my truck is still under warranty it is nissan problem not mine. I just have to give them some of my time but it is worth it to me.
