How is your battery? A bad battery can cause some weird things to happen.
The truck was laid up for a while and the battery went dead, I recharged the battery and it starts fine everytime. I know sometimes a loose battery connection can cause things to go haywire, but I checked and the terminals are tight.helomech said:How is your battery? Possibly low brake fluid level in brake fluid reservoir.aldaman said:I am having the same problem, but at the moment at a lesser degree. The VDC, Emergency brake & SLIP lights are staying on after the truck has been started. I do not have the hesitation yet when driving. Does anyone know what the problem could be (i.e Battery going bad or bad switches/sensors). I still have the original battery, but my '04 truck only has 15k+ miles on it...Please advise, thank you...
Agreed on the low brake fluid for the lights, but the bucking is a different story.aldaman said:I am having the same problem, but at the moment at a lesser degree. That seems to be either a fuel issue or a sensor gone bad.glensmachine said:All these light's are on in my dash. I had the codes read and it showed a right rear and left front abs sensor codes. When I start the truck the ABS, slip and brake lights come on, when I start to move after about 1 mile the 4WD light comes on, the speedometer doesn't work and the truck starts to buck almost like it's staving for gas. I stop turn off the truck, restart and the same happens after about 1 mile.
Could a bad sensor cause this problem??
Thank for your help guys...I checked the fluid and it is still at the MAX reading. I guess I will have to take it into the dealer to see if it is a sensor/fuel issue. So could I also rule out a factory battery going bad? Thanks again....Blackbeauty said:Agreed on the low brake fluid for the lights, but the bucking is a different story.

This was posted as an answer to my issue by a dude named greasy. Stoked.
definately get your battery checked it was my problem afterall. IT had a bad cell under load but never had any voltage drops on the scanguage and started every time so it was strange but that was what it was...haveing the same issue but with vdc off, slip, abs lights are all on and stay on, took for a ride, seems to be no issue with performance, is there anymore feedback on what this could be, other than what is on this site already?
same thing for me and took it to the dealer! turned out to be the rear abs sensor...90 to check it out and 55 for the rear sensor or 150 for the front. install only took 5 min by myself.haveing the same issue but with vdc off, slip, abs lights are all on and stay on, took for a ride, seems to be no issue with performance, is there anymore feedback on what this could be, other than what is on this site already?
how were the sensors related to the bad axle? when I took mine off there was a layer (inch thick) of brake dust...I thought that was what caused it to have a bad reading?FWIW, when I had this problem is was sign that rear differential was going bad. My sensors were replaced and the problem came back and eventually my rear axle crapped and I got a new one under warranty.
