AC issues on 07

I have an 07 XE KC and a couple of times I have been driving down the road and all of a sudden the AC fan will stop, then a minute later it will come back on. I have also noticed that the fan will sometimes slow down and then pick back up all by itself. Has anyone else seen this...I will be taking it to the dealer this weekend but just wondered if it was a common issue or not. Thanks

My 07 doesn't stop by itself, but I have noticed that when it is really hot inside of the cab on start up that about 3 or so minutes of running, it sounds like the AC switches automatically from outside air to recirculate. I keep int on recirculate all of the time so maybe this is something that is built in to the system that allows a certain amount of fresh air into the cab. Don't know.
if you run AC and don't pump in fresh air, you could deplete your oxygen and fall asleep at the wheel...
Doesnt do it then....it only does it when going down the road....after the cab has been cool for some time.....it just feels like someone turned off the fan and then a minute later turns it back on.

Weird hu?
my '07 CC has done that. One time it just turned off all by itself, then 1 second later kicked back on. Called the dealership and they said turn the truck off and re-start. this should re-set the computer.

I've only had to do it one other time. If it happens again I'll definitely take it in and have them look at it.

I have only had my truck 3 months and it has done it twice now....there has to be a logical reeason for this, just dont know.

Thanks
i have seen a few titans that have a bad blower resistor, causing the fan to only work at full speed, and not at all on one. it may be causing this, since it actually controls the fan speed, just a thought though
My ac actually did this yesterday pulling out of the drive thru... asked the wife if that had ever happened while she was driving... "I don't know" ... the dealer is getting it this weekend (hopefully) to see whats happening...
My 07 did that as well. I kind of wrote it off but I will be on the look out as well. Let me know what they come up with.
I think we should change the title on this issue to "AC Fan Blower turns off or goes to full blast by itself" or something like that.

I have an 05 LE CC with Nav. I still remember the fan turned off when I test drove the truck at the dealer, but I was too excited, didn't complain, and still bought the truck.

It has happened a lot. The AC fan blower (the fan or blower that makes the air come out of the cabin vents) will just turn off and it will either turn back on in about a minute or I have to turn the knob all the way to off then turn it back on.

Now though and what's funny and embarrasing... the AC fan will go to full blast. It's like somebody opened the windows. My friends were like what da hell. We laughed but it was embarrassing.

This happens only during the summer when using the AC. I have not yet seen this happen during winter when I am just using the heater.

I also experienced this with my brother's Armada.

I hope somebody finds a solution for this as the dealer won't do anything until they actually see the problem.

I have a 07 cc se and it also does the going off or blowing at full blast more powerfull than the any setting would do:confused: I had a 05 it never did this.
I had the fan recall also done doesn,t make a diff.
