My new 2018 that I purchased last week is doing the same thing. They told me to wait 1k miles to see if it would straighten out and if not to bring it back and they would replace the tires. I am only a couple of hundred miles in but it hasn't yet. My suspicion is it will not.
See the YouTube video on how the system works. We have an 18 Pro4X and it works exactly as described. In fact on real cold days, even the steering wheel heater come on. Whenever we use the remote start on the Titan, we have seldom let the car remain started for more than 5 mins. Sometimes it takes a while to get the minimal amount of snow scraped/wiped off the glass and this gives the truck a little time to warm up as well. In summary, at least the original system works well enough.

I ordered the remote start kit from ebay. I installed the latch myself (15 Minutes), and called a locksmith to program my remotes. I paid a little more but I don't have time during the week to sit at the dealership. Plus, I kept my old key fobs. Initially, the locksmith said he couldn't do it because the FCC# and the Part # on the new (4 button) key fob didn't match the FCC# and Part# on the old (3 button) key fobs. I asked him to try it and I would pay him either way. To his surprise, it worked! So, if you are like me and you don't mind paying a little extra to avoid the dealership... call a locksmith! hope this helps

I doubt that one is compatible with vehicles that use proximity keys like our Titans.
I figured as much . . . folks have mentioned using a bypass or something. Oh well. I guess I'll keep starting it the old fashioned way. That's the one thing I miss from my 2010 Sierra.

My remote start kit was delivered yesterday. I installed the hood latch which was easy and only took 15 minutes. Now to the dealer first thing tomorrow morning to program.
Hi, so I looked at my Titan and has the match with the connector but is just hanging not connected to anything. Do I need to buy a harness?

You ever get an answer Henrixroger? I ordered the Nissan kit, P/N 999K1-W7010, for my 19 XD Pro4X from www.newautoparts.com (Tasca auto parts as well) for $195 plus shipping... worked like a champ.. the new latch has a connector for the safety switch that plugs into that connector that's just hanging out behind your grill.. make sure you pop that protective cap off your plug that's on your truck behind the grill.... install latch.. the hardest part was popping the pull cable back into the latch on the backside then boom... done... then take the new 4 button key fobs to the dealer and have them program them for you... mine was a bit different.. I left my extra fob and key at the house so had to get a mechanical key blank for them to cut.. if you don't know what i mean then pull your fob out, turn it over, slide that little latch to the left on the back and the mechanical key will pop out...the dealer should reuse your current keys in your fobs..... I don't even carry a key anymore, just the fob.... Anyway... the programming is in your truck just the dealer has to turn it on, so to speak... I got the new blank cut and both remotes programmed for $110 ... they even gave me the old fob back even though they are to dispose of it... Pretty easy ....

So, a sales guy at the dealer tells me that all of the SV's and above have the parts installed for remote start but if you didn't get the right add-on or package you don't get the remote. Okay, I take a look at the Nissan Parts USA site and sure enough there is a fob with the correct buttons on it. All you have to do is program it, not a big deal at all. Is this really that easy for $275 bucks?

Thanks to all on this thread. I bought my 2019 Midnight Edition SV Titan. No remote start. I bought a kit (2 fobs 1 hood latch) for $200. Got the new and old fobs programmed at the dealer for $85 and it worked perfectly! I got this instruction in the pic that has a site to go to for the most current part number. Its like W8000 and i got W7000 which was fine. Hope this helps someone like you all helped me. By the way the dealership i went to didn't believe it would work so don't be discouraged. Also, I'm not so mechanically inclined but I swapped out the hood latch in 10 minutes with 12mm socket and a 12mm wrench for the latch and 10mm socket to disconnect the battery.

I just got this for my husband. Where do you plug the wire into that’s attached to the hood latch?
