Does anyone have the drawing of our oil cooler setup/ and or routing of hoses and such. In Texas it does get a bit hot down here and I wouldn't mind looking into that as an addition along with the tranny cooler.
Kind of what I was looking for, as far as I knew we had a routing of coolant hoses right there at the base of the oil filter that ran the coolant through around the oil there, that was my perception of our cooling for oil. As I know it we do not have routing of the oil through the radiator for a cooling loop. I wanted to put an oil cooler on mine but need to get back under there and see if there is a place that I can do that with to route that oil through an external cooler, but not sure if that is possible so I was looking for the oil cooling routing more than the coolant loop, but looking at that doesn't really show a possible external method of doing that unless I can get the oil to route externally rather than through that unit at the base of the oil filter. I would like to lower that oil temp sometimes from running almost 210 out on the highway on hot days to around 180 or so. That's why I posted this, wasn't sure if someone was confusing the trans cooling through the radiator vs the engine oil cooling.Maybe this is what you're talking about.
Problem might be something as simple as this:I can't be of much help but to add a note to say, this is not a good sign nor a good way to begin a new year. You've got a mess on your hands and I don't know if there is good or better way to go forward.
Maybe someone with experience in this matter may have some suggestions. Good luck with it.![]()
