has anyone seen a dash kit in a different finish than the boring gray ones? i installed a double din pioneer ahvp4200dvd and used the metra kit and its the normal gray interior color. i want something different though to jazz up the plain monochromatic interior. does anyone make an aftermarket bezel in wood grain or something that would fit my aftermarket radio??

I know this isn't completely answering your question, but very possible. To my knowledge there isn't just a company that mass produces these things like metra does with their kits. To get what you want, you are best off going to a local shop that can custom make you a wood kit to spec. That way you can pick out what wood suits you best and all the little details. With that though comes a hefty price tag..If I had to guess I would say a minimum of $500.

Now that would be for doing most of the dash up front so it's not just the faceplate that is wood, that might look a little silly. I've never seen it just the faceplate, so it could look good. IMO, I would do the whole dash, and parts in the back so it all matched. I think at one point, someone on here found something similar if my memory serves me. After looking at it and seeing some reviews though, it was really cheap looking and was a waste of time. A member on here just made a thread about how he got most of his dash replaced with wood grain. It wasn't for a double din, but you can still see the difference it all made. Hope I kinda helped, not that this is what you really wanted to hear.

There isn't one, I spent a long time looking. Taking mine to a body/paint shop I've worked with in town and having them do the Metra dash and the shifter surround in a nice aluminum (I have the tan interior) blend. That's about your only option, even the fake dash kit stickers that are on the market aren't made for double din openings in the Titan, not that you would want to use those anyway.

What Dazedasp suggests could probably work as well but holy moly is that going to cost you. My bodyshop is doing the paint for $75 and while it's not wood it's going to look nice.

i had mine done , the shop had a decal made to copy the original woodgrain look. Looks great, they had told a week ago one of their distributors are now making the double din in woodgrain. It is out there just talk to a auto stereo shop.

That is a sticker/decal kit. It will look like crap. My opinion anyway.
Are you sure that the kits are stickers? If you look at the material you can get real wood at a 30% premium. Looks like carbon fiber is even more expensive. I doubt it is just a sticker? I know they use 3m tape to hold it down on the OEM plastic.

it does look much better than a normal "sticker"
i am thinking about painting however maybe since i can find an actual kit.
my friend that owns his own auto shop suggested i do a "piano black lacquer" on that and some of the accent pieces. he has used it before in several cars and it looks really good. still debating tho.
y doesn't anyone make a kit!!!
if i do the paint i want to also get the infinity qx56 woodgrain piece on the gearshift panel. i think it will just swap out. has anyone seen a good place to get those? all the infinity interior stuff is sharp and most just swaps right out.
