Air leak on Drivers side door - anyone fix this?

I believe this truck has an air leak in the driver side door somewhere. Window seal maybe. My wife thinks it’s the air over the tow mirror sound but I had the same mirrors on the 04 and never heard it. It’s a little annoying. I will look further into this when i have time. - Anyone deal with this?

I have the same issue with my new 08. In fact, It was part of my post relating to my 1800 mile journey and my wife also believed that it was the mirror. I didnt have that noise in the 04, same mirrors. I have no fix yet.
I took mine into the dealer today and they looked at it and confirmed the noise. They said they were going to contact Nissan. I'm going to forward them this link so they can see I'm not the only one with this problem. They told me they never heard of it before.
i just noticed this today about an hour ago... i noticed everyone that posted has the tow mirrors?
I know its an old thread.......but I must give accolades to modern technology!!!! this site has proved invaluable over and over and over again. I was struggling with this air noise as well and btw, I dont have BT mirrors... and and trying to find the time to have the dealer lie to me and go back and be lied to again when I just searched it and.......BAM! here ya go. I would much rather drive to H.D. and get the stuff for 3.99 then get hassled by the dealer just to do nothing for hours of time wasted.
Thank you all so very much!!!!
You're so right jasonator - anything short of a complete engine tear down and rebuild and it's easier and less stressful to just take care of it yourself rather than screw around with the dealer and their BS.
Has anyone else triedthe post above or something else to stop the noise?
I am going to have to give it a try...1/2 inch foam....Yep going to start the search for the stuff today...
This has been an issue since 04. Here's one member's fix:

I did this fix after two weeks of owning the T. It's been basically noise free for the past 3 years.

Any hardware or home improvement store, Lowes or Home depot, should have it.
I have the same problem with my 2011. In my mind a brand new vehicle shouldn't have this problem but when it does the dealership MUST fix it. I'm not at all entertaining the idea that I have to stick some foam into the door of a vehicle with less than 200 miles on it.

Nissan has had this problem since 04 when I tried to get them to fix it with no success, that's why I came up with this solution. I'm not sure if the 2011 have the same design as the 04.

Sorry, I wasn't knocking you for finding a fix at all. I was just saying that I'll be a total jerk about it with the dealership if I have to.

It's amazing that the issue has been there for 7 years and hasn't been fixed yet.
You can be a jerk all you want because they don't have a fix for it.

Good luck dude...I can hear them saying we can't duplicate the issue, or that is not covered under warranty.

Yes, it would be nice if they took care of that problem, but...lets be real. This problem has been around since 2004 and not fixed yet....
I will go with the strip of foam...

:crying:
It's going in today and I'll let you all know what happens.
The most I could see them doing if they don't escort you outside is shoving the foam up in there for you. Save the gas and do it yourself there is no other solution for it. What do you expect to gain a replacement seal from the factory that will still make noise?
Let me come to your defense GregK and say that I do understand where you are coming from. A brand new, expensive, truck with very little miles should be fixed. But the bottom line is Nissan doesn't have a fix for it.

We, or should I say Herbpov does, and it's very very simple at best.

The last thing you want to do at the Dealer is cause a scene when there may be much bigger problems down the road.

You can bang you cawk off her azz all night but you won't get any satisfaction if she doesn't let you in!!!!!!! :ftard:
The dealer told me that Nissan has told them it's the mirror whistling and that there's no fix. Once the tech took it for a ride and nailed it down to the window seal they did order a replacement seal and have told me that if the replacement doesn't fix it they will take it up with Nissan directly.

I'll follow up again once the new seal is in.
