I added an aftermarket alarm and would like to have my new alarm fob operate the memory seat function like my factory fob did but have not been successful in my attempts so far. I tied my unlock wire to the switch in the driver door so that I can unlock all four without running wires to each but I am wondering if I tie in elsewhere, if I can get the system to reckognize the new fob for the memory seating. Has anyone successfully done this?

Memory Seat 1 - light green/black - memory mod. left of column, pin 9
Memory Seat 2 - pink/blue - memory mod. left of column, pin 25

Your alarm must have this function. Some of the newer alarms like the Viper 791xv has it.
Make sure the polarity coming out of the alarm module match with polarity at the memory module.

Mine doesn't have a memory seat function per se, but I just want to hook into and have it pulse on the memory wire when I unlock and I will use the trunk output or something else for seat two. Is it that simple? if so, do you know whether it will take a 12v or a ground? Does it need a diode?

Well it take a 5V pulse so some kind of resistor/diode is needed to drop the voltage.
