Alignment ??

What did I do...

Over the weekend I hit/tagged pretty good one of those curb stones that are put in place at the head of a parking space. This one was floating freely on the pavement, not re-barred in-place like normally found. The curb stone moved a couple of inches and truck jumped a little when I hit it, I just wasn't paying attention to where I was driving, it was a pretty good glancing blow.

Now the steering wheel that was dead-on straight is now off-centered to the left and sits at about 11 o'clock when steering straight. Granted it was a pretty good blow but I'm surprised the Titan didn't handle this better... What did I do ??? Should this be easily corrected with an alignment ?

I did a search but it seems like no one is as stupid as me and all discussions were on PRG leveling kits and the like. Any and all thoughts welcomed.

Thanks, - MarkC.

ouch that hurts... I hit a curb last winter in the snow and other than bad curb rash no allignment problem.

Take it in to the dealer to have them look at it or to an allignment shop. It is not hard to knock a front end allignment out.

Good luck
go to Firestone and get the lifetime alignment. I had to get mine done when I put on the PRG level kit. The once was 70 bucks, and the lifetime was on sale for 100. Seemed like a no brainer to me, and I am a real MoFo when it comes to warranty type stuff. They will lose money on me.
Got my baby back from the shop today. I've attached the alignment specs to close the loop on this thread.

Cheers, - MarkC.

Actually they'll probably make money on you. Everytime you take it in to be aligned, a ball joint or tie rod end will (conveniently) need replaced. Whether it actually does or not is a different story.

This would be true if I didn't know better. I am not dumb about proper PM on a vehicle, just lazy. they can try to upsell me on anything. But they Will Lose Money on me. LOL

Just ask the SM at the dealership regarding my 04. He knew my cellphone number by looking at the caller ID. hehehe
