alignment

I have my truck in to get the alignment corrected. It has 2 degrees more cast that is recommended for our trucks ( a total of 4 degrees).
From what I understand there is no adjustment for caster so I am guessing they will be replacing parts.
My truck has been like this since it was new ( 2006) and now has 21000 miles.
Has any one else had a situation like this?:smoke:

need put in the camber bolt kit by the dealer, I did this with my 06 since the 06 year didnt come with them. My 08 has them from the factory
FYI they charge $20 a bolt x 4 = $80, if its warranty work you should be in the clear tho.
You're probably too late to have the cam bolts done under TSB, but it'd be worth a try. Otherwise, you're probably looking at around a $300 dollar job. But you're going to burn tires off if you don't, and that's WAY more expensive.

Is it caster you are worried about, or camber?

If it has 4° positive caster, and you are OK with the way it handles, leave it alone. Caster affects the steering effort and straight-line tracking. It will have little or no affect on tire wear.

If it is camber, then yes that will wear one edge of the tire faster than the other. Have you done any suspension mods to change the ride height?
Is the cam bolt TSB a concern for 2007 models?

the 07's don't have them. My dealer wouldn't put them on since there was nothing wrong with the alignment:crying:

I was told by another dealer (Ford) that just because there is a TSB on something doesn't mean is has to be replaced for free. They told me TSB's were sorta an FYI thing. Is there any truth to the matter?

That is correct. They don't even have to fix something on TSB as "warranty", either. It depends on the dealer for a lot of this, their descretion.
am i right to assume we only need a 2 wheels alignment? My tires are wearing funny inside on driver side and outside on pass. side (they are like this // // ) and i dont want to pay for a 4 wheel alignment if we dont need one...
i have an 08 cc 4x4 xe and when i went to have it aligned today after installation of new coil overs and uca's was told that i didn't have the cam bolts and had to pay for them to buy and install them. doubled the price of the alignment.
