Yesterday blew a small hose front left hand under rim where connects to radiator and long long metal pin pipe.
Long story short.
Pulled over after lost pick/gear acceleration…found transmission fluid all over inside of engine. Deduced the fan there most liquid around and that the source was a hairline fracture in the tubing. Removed tubing replaced tubing with same size of connections.
The gent who helped only had transmission fluid that wasn’t rated for foreign cars…. So was advised even tho it was a few ounces, to flush it.

After finding leak and replacing tube, towed the car in neutral 15 miles.
So here’s the question I was told that I should check to see that there aren’t any metal filings in my transmission. I was told to drop the transmission pan look for metal shavings if there are none still proceed to drain all of the transmission fluid out, clean out transmission replace screen/filter
Is all this necessary? Change filter/screen if can, flush with the right transmission fluid, and return all cleaned out..
