I was yakkin to this guy I work with, he said he could have sworn there was another bulb that fit in the fog light housing that would make our fogs brighter. He was saying it was like a 9005 type bulb, just have to cut and splice in the new plug. Anyone know anything about this ?

Silver Stars are a bit brighter and alot whiter. If you want super bright go with HID, which are plug & play with no cutting or splicing. I have HID in the low beams and they overwhelm the fogs. I have Silver Stars in the high beams also. The HIDs are still whiter, but the SS are better than OEM, which look way way yellow next to HID.

I've already been through 2 sets of silverstars in the fogs... Not worth the coin anymore. A 9005 will be waaayyy brighter than that if they or something like them fits. I dont mind chopping wire, and my friend said that chances are, there is another, brighter bulb with the same twist lock pattern.

SilverStar 895 is what I thought you may be looking for, vs the 882 original?
