Can't say that this has been a problem that has come around before. I would say next time you take it to the dealer, have the tech come out to the service drive with you.

I have a 2007 Titan Crew. Intermittently when I switch front vent to defrost it will take 29 sec (yes I counted) to make the change. I stopped by my dealer when it was doing it and the service manager said that it is taking way to long (hey thanks). However, after they pulled the truck in, they shut it off and by the time the tech looked at it, the transfer returned to normal. At which i got the old "we checked the time compaired to another truck and your's is normal". At which I asked the manager if it was still taking as long when the tech checked it and he could not answer. It also seems that when I am having this problem (and this is the part that really gets me) it also takes a long time for the fan/AC to respond (delayed in the time that I crank the fan until it begins blowing). Any suggestions????

thad5515, we have a problem! 29 seconds is not normal. Mine has a slight delay, but only a couple seconds and is hardly noticeable.
mine has that same long, long delay, started after a week or so, first it only delayed when the headlights were on, now it does it all the time... ive just dealt with it, though it is annoying sometimes... if you get it fixed let us know maybe ill bring mine in...

Isn't that control system moved by vacuum? I know it was in a couple old dodges that I had, and if the vac system has a small leak, there was not enough power to move it around.

The dealer advised that it is a vacum system. They were going to check it for leaks but said with it being so intermittent they did not want to get it to it until it happened more often. I would find another dealer but this one is the closest (less then 2 miles).
