I run Amsoil synthetic in my 2008 Tahoe on the extended drain interval (every year under 15k miles)

I can't seem to find the oil filter that fits the Titan on the Amsoil site. I'm looking for the Amsoil Ea filter that fits the 2007 Titan.

Anybody on the forum running Amsoil and using the Ea filter on the extended drain interval? If so you know where I can get the filter I need?

Also, has anybody used the Injen/Amsoil CAI? If so do you like it? I'm looking for something that will increase torque on the low end 2500-3500 RPM...

The place I work at runs Amsoil in the equipment we build and our service guy went to there heavy equipment conference in Reno this year. One of the reps was telling him that they discontinued a few filters for some Toyota motors because they run dirty and the filters were needing to be changed prior to the recommended service intervals so they discontinued them. I had him order oil and a filter for my Titan and they quit making the Titan filter also so he figured they were probably having the same issue with the Titan filter as they were with the some of the Toyota filters. Amsoil is recommending a filter made by Mann that is supposed to be changed every 7500 miles.

I saw that Mann filter on the Amsoil website. I'll probably get that one and change it every 6 months. Any idea what that micron rating is on either the Mann or the Baldwin filter? I didn't see it on the Amsoil site. Anybody using something different that is better? Just curious. Going to switch the T over to synthetic in a few weeks.

Hey rynomx are you using the 5w 30 amsoil synthetic or the 0w 30 signature series?

I use Purolator Pureone oil filters in my truck, seems to be doing great and no tick at startup

I'm running the 5w-30. As hot as it is in AZ right now I didn't think it was a good idea to run the lighter weight oil.

i run 5-30w amsoil with the 25k or 1 year change.. and about the filter they discontinued some of them because they got clog sooner than the 25k.. i used Napa Gold on the titan and on the skyline and they work great, and rated up to 12k. so in my experience , ill go with napa gold..

By happenstance, I changed my oil today and this thread just caught my attention. One year ago I used the Amsoil 100% Synthetic High Performance Motor Oil 5W-30 and I used the Napa Gold #1356 Oil Filter. I don't put a lot of miles on my Titan and this Amsoil oil is supposed to be good for one year. I racked up a little less than 5K miles during the past year with this oil fill.

Today I changed my oil again using the same Amsoil oil and Napa Gold filter as before. I like the Napa Gold filter and would recommend it. As with the OEM Nissan oil filter, the Napa Gold filter is also small and about the same size as the Nissan filter. The Napa Gold oil filter on my 1994 Ford F-150 appears top be about 3 times the size of the Napa Gold #1356 oil filter.

I also purchased an oil plug copper crush washer from Napa for $0.69 that worked well.

If you can't find one for the Titan, search for an 08 Civic SI, they use the same filter. It's kind of scary to think that a 2.0 liter engine uses the same filter as a 5.6 liter engine.

Are you sure theyre exactly the same filter, with all the same specs? Just because a filter fits doesnt mean its right for the car/truck

I'm positive, I own both cars. I have checked different brands and they all have both as using the same exact one. I use the Mobil 1's or K&N filters.

I am also using the Napa Gold/Wix filters. Where did you find the interval data? I change twice a year, regardless of mileage.

Check out Fleet Filter dot com. Pretty decent prices if you buy a bunch.

El - your sig video rocks.

vilim - my '03 SE-R with a 2.5L uses the same filter as the T... Sometimes, size doesn't matter.

That is all.

The AMSOIL EAO13 filter has been removed from production due to the issues with Toyotas mentioned earlier, but since it crosses with many other applications they all needed to be pulled. Use the MANN filter suggested on the AMSOIL site in its place and change at 6 mo/7500 miles. AMSOIL is looking to redesign their filter and get it back into production ASAP.

I am an Amsoil Dealer and member of a multiple-Titan family... what has been stated here is correct. The Amsoil Oil Filter for the Nissan Titan has been discontinued for redesign due to "sludging" problems.

Having said that, before Amsoil had filters for our applications (Titans, Altimas, Pathfinders, heck -- even Mack trucks) we, as a family, used to get exclusively Hastings (long-haul truckers - literally millions of miles on Hastings/Amsoil combination). I have since gone back to Hastings on the Titan and run them for 10k per filter, and 25k per complete oil-change with Amsoil 0-30 Signature Series.

I strongly recommend Hastings filters. Good quality, good price.
